Commanders' dream $48M target just edged closer after subtle goodbye

The Washington Commanders have a lot to get through on the personnel side this offseason. Much of the focus centers on the defensive overhaul expected once a new coordinator is hired, but general manager Adam Peters cannot overlook the offensive weapons around Jayden Daniels before a crucial third year for the dynamic quarterback.

There are a lot of unknowns here, too.

Terry McLaurin will be the focal point, and hopefully, he can stay healthy next time around. Luke McCaffrey and Jaylin Lane are exceptional returners but remain unknown quantities in the passing attack. After that, the cupboard is bare unless extensions are agreed upon.
