Women’s Tennis Edged by #70 Kansas State

MEMPHIS – The University of Memphis women's tennis team (1-8) won the doubles point and got a win in singles from freshman , but could not upend number 70 ranked Kansas State, falling 4-2 in a neutral site match at Columbia, Saturday.

Memphis picked up wins at one and two doubles to take the early lead in the match, 1-0. The team of and Berres won 6-2, and the team of and birthday girl grabbed a 6-2 win at two to seal the win.

Sohn jumped out to an early lead at one singles, winning her first set 6-2, then fell 6-0, 6-2.
