MURRAY, Ky. – Memphis allowed a pair of big innings but couldn't manufacture one of its own as Murray State beat the Tigers 10-6 at Reagan Field Tuesday night. The Racers used two doubles, two triples and a home run to outslug the Tigers.
Memphis (8-12) will continue its road trip this weekend with a three-game series at Southern Illinois that runs Thursday through Saturday.
The game was back-and-forth through the early innings before Murray State put up a four-run bottom of the third inning. The Tigers cut the Racers' lead to one in the top of the sixth before they came right back with another four-run inning to put the game away.
