MEMPHIS – Freshman Tyler Johnson came to the plate in the top of the seventh inning against Buffalo with the score tied at seven and chose an opportune time for her first collegiate home run. The Lakewood, Calif., native sent her first college smash over the fence, the second Memphis grand slam of the season and the first Tiger home run since the first game against Michigan State on Feb. 14th. The four-run lead would hold up through Buffalo's final batters and the Tigers would grab an 11-7 win in game one of the Chanticleer Challenge at Coastal Carolina, Friday.
