Memphis Salvages the Series with 6-4 Win

STATESBORO, Ga. – After being held down offensively through the first two games of the series with Georgia Southern, Memphis got things going at the plate and came out with a 6-4 win Sunday at Clements Stadium. The Tigers will continue their eight-day road trip as they travel to take on Middle Tennessee on Tuesday in Murfreesboro before the two teams meet again Wednesday in Jacksons.

Georgia Southern grabbed an early lead after an infield single by the leadoff batter, Kent Rollins. He then moved to second on an errant pickoff attempt, went to third on a fly ball to center and scored on a passed ball.
