Memphis Rally Falls Short against ECU

Dedric Lawson scored 23 second-half points but Memphis fell just short against East Carolina, 84-83, Sunday at FedExForum. The Tigers trailed by as many as 14 points before Lawson, who finished with 27 points, took over the game.

Memphis rattled off a 20-9 run midway through the second half to grab a lead for the first time since the opening minutes of the game. The Tigers were never able to extend their lead past one possession though.

Trahson Burrell nearly finished with a triple-double off the bench for Memphis. He scored 13 points, pulled down 10 rebounds and dished out nine assists.
