As one of his former club's most veteran and productive players, A.J. DeLaGarza thought he had earned enough respect to be treated fairly.
Answering questions in Houston after his first full day of training with the Dynamo, DeLaGarza hinted that his exit from the LA Galaxy could have been smoother.
The Dynamo acquired the 29-year old defender in a draft-day trade on Jan. 13. DeLaGarza on Wednesday said the day of the trade was about two weeks after the Galaxy told him he would not be traded.
"My first thought was just shock with how it all went down," DeLaGarza said.
