Every team Tomás Martínez has played for has hoped for him to be the No. 10 who can take their attack to the next level.

The Dynamo are no different.

After the Dynamo announced the signing of Martínez as their third Designated Player, general manager Matt Jordan did not say publicly what role he and coach Wilmer Cabrera hoped for him to play.

On Monday, Martínez, 22, shed a little light on the subject – and it sounds like what every other team tried to get out of him, too.
