The Dash's closing momentum continued into the first half of Sunday's regular season finale. The second half was a different story.
Instead of ending on the high note they hoped for they will limp into the off-season on an ugly low.
The Dash led by two goals at halftime but conceded three times in the second half and lost, 3-2, to visiting Seattle at BBVA Compass Stadium.
Although the playoffs were not possible, the Dash (6-10-4) still had some noteworthy accomplishments to play for, including a fourth win in their final five games.
They could have set a club record for victories in a season.
