Competition: U.S. Open Cup
What to look for: Later this summer when these teams meet again a spot atop the MLS’ Western Conference could be on the line. This week, however, they will square off to determine one of eight quarterfinalists in the U.S. Open Cup. The annual knockout competition provides teams from all divisions an opportunity to win a trophy that has been awarded for more than 100 years.
