The school year started up Monday afternoon for a few Houston Dynamo players at Houston Sports Park, as they started English classes taught by Houston Community College.
English is the second language for 12 of the 28 players on the Dynamo roster, and these classes provide those players with the skills to grow more comfortable in the community and the locker room by breaking down language barriers.
Leonardo, Alberth Elis, Boniek García, Romell Quioto, José Escalante, Juan David Cabezas, Mauro Manotas, Vicente Sánchez, Erick Torres, Agus, Alex, and Adolfo Machado are all taking part in the season-long classroom sessions to improve their English skills.
