The Dynamo made their way out west to take on the Los Angeles Galaxy on Saturday night. From the opening whistle Houston looked determined to gain their first 3 road points of the season. They were the better side for much of the first half, bottling the Galaxy’s offensive efforts while stringing together several promising attacks of their own.
Houston’s confidence going forward was rewarded in the 22nd minute when Mauro Manotas put his side ahead with his fifth goal of the season. Manotas found himself in the right place at the right time to tap in when Galaxy goalkeeper Clément Diop parried DaMarcus Beasley’s attempt from distance straight into the danger zone.
