Dynamo leading scorer Erick Torres has returned to the team and trained Monday morning in Houston after spending the weekend in Mexico with his family.
Torres' father, Luis German Torres Neri, died on Friday.
Erick Torres, who has set a team record with 14 goals scored this season, missed Thursday's BBVA Compass Dynamo Charities Cup to fly to his hometown of Guadalajara.
His return to Houston is significant because the Dynamo will be without two of their top four scorers for Wednesday's home game against Sporting Kansas City. Alberth Elis and Romell Quioto are expected to play for Honduras in their final World Cup Qualifying match Tuesday night.
