Dynamo boss Wilmer Cabrera got his money’s worth when he ripped the referee for a poor performance in Wednesday’s match.
Now MLS is going to get some money, too.
The league issued Cabrera an undisclosed fine for the critical comments he made of Fotis Bazakos following the Dynamo’s 3-3 draw against the LA Galaxy.
Cabrera said he was so concerned about Bazakos’ lackluster history that before Wednesday’s game he warned his players not to let potentially bad calls affect them.
"As soon as I noticed that the referee was Fotis Bazakos I knew," Cabrera said as part of a four-minute tirade at the start of his post-game press conference.
