The Dynamo conceded two first-half goals in an otherwise solid game Saturday night and lost, 2-1, to Vancouver Whitecaps FC at BC Place in British Columbia.
The loss snaps the six-game unbeaten streak the Dynamo (10-8-7) rode on its way to the top of the Western Conference standings. They drop to second place after Saturday's results and could fall into third place after Seattle plays on Sunday night.
Though they trailed by two at halftime, the Dynamo had 40 minutes to pull level in the second half after Romell Quioto scored in the 51st minute.
From the left side, Quioto passed to Mauro Manotas 30 yards from the center of the goal.
