No player has scored more goals for the Dynamo over the last three seasons than Mauro Manotas yet when they played their first playoff game in four years last week, he remained on the bench.
Several factors played into that, but that didn’t mean it felt any better for one of the league’s best finishers to watch his team – except for one moment in extra time – struggle to hit the back of the net.
Manotas likely would have subbed in had it not been for a first half injury to center back Leonardo. That left the Dynamo with two subs for the second half.
