Dynamo players Alberth Elis, Boniek Garcia and Romell Quioto are used to international flights because of their extensive work with the Honduran national team.
They have learned how to deal with the wear and tear involved with travel to and from all the CONCACAF nations. The trip they’ll make this week, however, will be a new experience and tougher than all the others.
Honduras will play the second leg of its inter-continental playoff against Australia on Wednesday. Kickoff is 8 p.m. local time in Sydney. It will be 3 a.m. in Houston.
After that, the Dynamo trio will have a 12-plus hour flight back to Texas and only five days to recover for the first leg of the Western Conference finals against Seattle Sounders FC on Nov.
