As a resident of Houston for almost three years, Dynamo forward Erick Torres calls the city home. His strongest ties, however, remain with his native Mexico.
After seeing the generosity of Houstonians and the rest of the country in the wake of Hurricane Harvey, the 14-goal scorer said he is inspired and thankful. He also hopes help can come from outside the United States.
"I feel very happy to see all these people coming together as a team, as a unit," Torres said through a translator. "That is something that motivates me and makes me feel proud.
