The airplane's takeoff was imminent, but so was some of the biggest news of Erick Torres' soccer career.
The aircraft taking the Dynamo to Florida for Friday's match against Orlando City SC was backing out of the gate. In moments, Torres and all of the other passengers would lose their internet connections.
It seemed to be a race against the clock, but the Dynamo forward and Mexican youth international was prepared if the announcement of Mexico's Olympic roster was delayed. He has been on plenty of planes.
