The summer transfer window began slowly for the Dynamo. On Wednesday it ended with a flurry.
The Dynamo signed Costa Rican defender Keyner Brown and Honduran midfielder Jose Escalante, doubling the number of acquisitions they had in the month leading up to the window's final day.
Escalante, 21, is the first player from the club's USL affiliate Rio Grande Valley FC to earn an MLS contract.
Both players are on loans through the end of the calendar year. The Dynamo will have an option to buy both players at that time. Houston did the same thing with 20-year old Colombian Yair Arboleda when it signed him last week.
