New to Houston and MLS in 2011, Will Bruin was still trying to get used to his surroundings rather than researching which opponents were most important for the Dynamo.
Add in a couple of conference championships during his first two seasons and it was easy for the forward to get distracted by bigger things. Bruin knew FC Dallas was the club's biggest rival, but he didn't begin to realize just how big until the last few years.
