The Dynamo’s pursuit of one of the most electric players in club history is picking up steam.
Honduran forward Alberth Elis spent the 2017 season with the Dynamo on loan from Mexican club Monterrey. As is the case with all loans to MLS clubs, the Dynamo have a purchase option that they must exercise by Dec. 31.
Last weekend, sources told the Chronicle the club is working hard to bring back Elis on a permanent basis and that the club is optimistic it will be able to do so. On Tuesday morning, general manager Matt Jordan echoed that idea during a season-ending press conference.
