The Dynamo won only once in 17 road games during the regular season so the task seemed taller than ever when they had to get a positive result against the Portland Timbers on Sunday night.
They did more than squeak by. When Mauro Manotas scored on a blistering shot from distance in the 77th minute at Providence Park for the final goal in the 2-1 victory, the Dynamo had left no doubt.
