The Dynamo finally have landed the type of difference maker they have been looking for since the 2016 season turned into an offensive struggle.
Houston on Tuesday afternoon will announce the acquisition of Alberth Elis, a 20-year old speedy Honduran striker.
Elis played in five matches for Mexican club Monterrey in 2016. From 2013-16 he played for Honduran side Olimpia, which also produced Dynamo players Boniek Garcia and Jose Escalante.
Elis scored 25 goals in 62 appearances with Olimpia. He has 15 caps with the Honduran national team and has scored three goals.
With the Honduran U-23 team at the 2015 CONCACAF Olympic qualifying tournament, he scored two of his tournament-high four goals in a 2-0 semifinal victory over the United States.
