The result itself was enough to celebrate, though when the Dynamo got the visiting locker room Sunday night they were rowdy because of the big picture.
They had qualified for the playoffs thanks to their scoreless draw at Sporting Kansas City and the results from other league games.
Given time to think about what Sunday’s performance meant for the long run, however, veteran defender DaMarcus Beasley abruptly ended the party.
It wasn’t good enough.
“We have a lot of work to do,” Beasley said Tuesday morning. “The game on Sunday was pretty bad for us even though we did clinch a playoff spot.
