Carli Lloyd is likely to return to game action tonight when the U.S. women's national team faces South Korea in a friendly at the Superdome in New Orleans.
Lloyd sprained her right ankle on Aug. 13 while playing for the Dash and missed the final seven games of the NWSL season.
The national team will play two friendlies against South Korea. The second game is Sunday in North Carolina. Dash teammate Jane Campbell also has been called up.
In a video interview released to media by U.S. Soccer, Lloyd said she is 'a big believer that everything happens for a reason' when speaking about her injury.
