There was no mistaking Carli Lloyd's declarations following the Dash's latest victory.
The two-time reigning FIFA Women's Player of the Year said the Dash are a playoff-caliber team that could win a league championship.
Those are strong words considering Houston is a little more than one month removed from being in last place. After Saturday's 1-0 win over Boston, however, the Dash have moved into sixth place on the 10-team table.
Houston's six-game unbeaten run has it four points away from a playoff position with nine games to go. While the soaring confidence is unmistakable, Lloyd said it is important for the players not to get ahead of themselves.
