Following a mid-week blowout loss to the NWSL Shield winners, the Dash are beat up physically and mentally.
They are desperately trying to keep it together until the end of the regular season, which comes Sunday night with a road game against FC Kansas City (8-9-6).
The Dash (7-14-2) are limping to the finish line after losing their fifth consecutive game Wednesday, conceding four goals and scoring none against the North Carolina Courage.
