The Dash's rise into contention took another step in the right direction Saturday night.
Nichelle Prince's first-half goal gave the Dash a 1-0 victory over the Boston Breakers in front of 5,337 fans at BBVA Compass Stadium.
Houston (6-7-2) is unbeaten in its last six games, which is a club record. That run has the Dash in sixth place – a little more than one month after they were at the bottom of the table.
The Dash will have a week off before resuming the season on Aug. 5 at Portland. They could be in position to climb into a playoff position in that game – a seemingly improbable scenario after losing for the sixth game in a row on June 17.
