Alex Lima named Dynamo MVP

After the best year of his career in his second season with the club, Alex Lima has been voted the 2016 Dynamo MVP and Players' Player of the Year.

Alex was the team's best two-way player. He set career highs with five goals, two assists, 29 starts and 2,476 minutes played. The 27-year old midfielder tied Ricardo Clark with the most starts.

Local media voted on the MVP award. Dynamo players voted on the Players' Player of the Year award.
The Dynamo also announced three other team awards.

Goalkeeper Joe Willis was named Defensive Player of the Year.
