GREENVILLE, S.C. — Since the start of the 2025 season, Aidan Knaak has been the Friday night guy for Clemson.
As the ace, Knaak has been a staple in the rotation going back to his freshman season, when he held down the Sunday spot for much of the season.
However, when the No. 14 Tigers open a four-game weekend series against LaSalle on Friday at Doug Kingsmore Stadium, it will not be Knaak on the mound. The junior right-hander is getting the weekend off.
Head coach Erik Bakich was quick to shut down any speculation that something might be wrong with his ace, maintaining that this was always in the cards.
