HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Andrien White led the 49ers with 16 points but Charlotte (10-16, C-USA: 6-7) fell on the road, 87-72, to Marshall (14-12, C-USA: 10-3).
White reached double-figures for the 14th time this season. Braxton Ogbueze recorded his 16th double-figure scoring game with 12 points. Reid Aube and Curran Scott added eight points apiece. Joseph Uchebo tallied a team-high nine rebounds.
Marshall had four players in double-figures led by James Kelly’s 27 points. Kelly also grabbed 23 rebounds.
Marshall scored the game’s first five points. Then, Charlotte scored four straight points on a basket by White and two free throws from Curran Scott.
