The 49ers return to Charlotte a much different team after their first Conference-USA road trip. Before heading into the New Year, it appeared that Charlotte was beginning to figure out how to play consistently under Mark Price. All signals were good for Charlotte men’s basketball to start 2016. Despite the losing record (1-2) on the hiatus from Halton Arena, the 49ers travelled to some of C-USA’s toughest venues.
The first game was a test against one of the longest home game winning streaks in the nation, Old Dominion. Charlotte fell 74-65, but showed resilience by outscoring the Monarchs in the second half.
